Electric Drum Kits and PA Systems?

I have an Ekit, and I've never played out loud before. My friends and I were going to get together soon to play, and I wanted to get something that could play it out loud with good sound quality, like what I hear in my headphones. Would a PA system do the trick? And I don't want something too expensive, so I put in a link to a PA system that I think might work, what do you think?

A bass rig is a much better system to play electric drums through.

Unfortunately the low frequencies produced by the kick drum can damage most PA speakers. The only question then is how much power you want the system to have.
