I have a pair of Sony MDR-V6 cans, and the bass is stronger on one side than the other?
Okay to clarify, the bass is balanced between the left and right side of the headphones equal until about 60hz. Now, this is where it gets weird. Around 60hz the bass is quite noticeably stronger on the left headphone, when it gets down to 45hz and less in frequency, the bass is stronger on the right side, almost to the point where it sounds like its only coming out of the right side. My Sony MDR-V6's are only about 2 or 3 months old. And yes, I have tested them against my hearing by swithching the headphones around, and it has the exact opposite effect, so it isn't my hearing, definately these cans. Do they need to be broken in or something??? So odd....
I have a pair of these and they've never done what you describe. One or both of your drivers must be defective. You should return the 'phones under warranty and get a new pair.
