Subwoofer crossover question?
I have two 12-inch kenwoods in ported box and im wondering if I set my amps crossover to 60 if that would damage they ..?
setting to 60 means it is cut off frequencies above 60Hz. You will be fine ... you should be able to rise to around 200-250 for most subs. if You have a ported box you might want to use sub-sonic filter (SSF) if your amp has one ... SSF cut out frequencies lower than your box tuning freq. below the tuning freq., your box will not have enough pressure to support the back again .... cone which is why it is recommended to use it for attachments ported. if you do not know what your box is set to, set when at around 30-34Hz .... which should be good. if your amp does not have, then do not worry about .... I never use mine anyways but my song box I was pretty low to begin with.
