Toxic Sub & Kenwood Amp. Is the kit i purchased ok? and will it all work ok without any complications??
I asked a question earlier about what Gauge amplifier wiring kits i would need for my system and was to no avail. Basically.. i want to power a Toxic 15" Sub - 1200 Watt (MAX) 600 Watt (RMS).. from a Kenwood KAC-9152 Amp - 1600 Watt (MAX) 800 Watt (RMS) with an "Inphase IP101 1200W Amplifier Fitting Kit" http://www.iceclearout.com/wiring/ip101-... - Im worrying about having the wrong gauges on this kit, as i want my sub and amp to work correctly and not to over power the system or the wires be of the wrong gauge. I have already purchased this wiring kit, so any help would be appreciated. As well.. im unsure if i would need to get a professional to do it, or i could do it myself, as i have an average knowledge of wiring up a system.
Cheers, Mike.
Use 4 guage wire, and either get a higher powered sub or a lower powered amp. The RMS ratings are mismatched.
It's best to have the RMS watts match or have the sub a little higher RMS handling in watts than the amp.
